|It's Not All Tea And Paul Weller|
Does anyone want any 20% off vouchers for Little Chef? They're only valid in October and time's running out. I'm off for a few days doing my books, admin work and trying to write before embarking on a bog standard weekend from Friday.
I was a bit down and a bit despondant during yesterday, nowt to do with the moron derby that's turning more old firm every year, but just with the whole comedy industry and what's popular at the moment and that I'm not feeling that my stuff flies with people in the same way that it did. You know what, outside of the stags and the hens and the groupons, there are more faldy daldy types coming to gigs nowadays, we have a young generation that haven't got any discernable culture and the result is a whole load of people who love supercillious crap and don't like a barbed comment unless it's a catty one about women not fitting into dress sizes or something.
Is this the case right across the board? No, not at all because last night at Assembly, it rocked. There was 29 in but they were a great 29. Some repeat business which was nice and a few new blood that really got into it. Well why wouldn't they?!! Bingo, ham and pease pudding sandwiches handed out in the break, comedy quiz, meat draw and 3 acts. We'll get there, I'm determined we'll get there. I'll make a Sunday night work even if it fuckin kills me!
Right I'm a busy man this week. Speak tomorrow kids.
